SIR In answer to the petition for the continuation of animal experimenting, why is this petition anonymous?
I can only think it's because deep down the public know animal experimentation is wrong.
There are other ways of doing research without the need to harm animals. Animals are very different from humans and research on them is inaccurate.
If animals were the same as people we would take our pets to visit our GP and there would be no need for vets.
Drugs that have no side effects on animals could well react badly on people.
All I can think is the people in favour of animal experimenting enjoy inflicting pain on them and they excuse themselves by calling it science.
Nature created so many beautiful animals who feel pain and need love and companionship, just as we do.
How can anyone justify such cruelty? Why do they remain anonymous? Maybe it's because they feel ashamed.
