SIR - The three "shortlisted" designs for the Odeon site have finally been revealed and we, the public, have a staggering three weeks to let our opinions be known.

Anthony Mann, chairman of Bradford Civic Society, is correct to be concerned about the shortness of the consultation period, but it shouldn't come as any surprise to any casual observer of Bradford Centre Regeneration.

The City Centre Design Guide displayed in January, for example, had a six-week consultation period and with the Odeon issue being the most contentious of all concerning plans for the new Bradford, you would have thought that BCR would choose to tread carefully this time.

However, this blink-or-you'll-miss-it tactic only demonstrates further contempt towards the thousands and thousands of Odeon supporters.

Surely if Maud Marshall is hoping we consider the plans and then make up our minds (as requested by her several times), three weeks is a mere scratch and certainly no time at all if we are seriously expected to re-address what are essentially steadfast opinions.
