SIR - It is not often that I feel the need to comment on political statements made by democratically-elected council members but having read Ian Greenwood's comment about not consulting the two BNP council members, quote: "We will talk with all the other parties apart from the BNP" , I do.
Ian Greenwood was elected in a democratic way by voters in Bradford, just the same as the BNP members.
I would suggest Coun Greenwood acts in a democratic way by involving all members of the Council in any decision-making etc. If not then God help the people of Bradford.
Please note I did not vote for the BNP, I just believe in democracy.

n SIR - In the recent elections, one London borough elected an astonishing 11 BNP councillors. Predictable, though, when you consider the borough is actually called Barking!
