SIR I have just read David Barnett's column (T&A, May 2). Whereas I never did like his style of writing, I must concede that he made some valid points.

But, for the sake of argument, let us pretend that he might not know everything about everything. He can be certain that nobody can put an alternative case, and there might just be issues that some people could challenge.

We will never find out through your paper because you will never print anything that could be construed as racially contentious, and of course immigration is the core issue.

How does one protest?
