SIR I request that the Government looks at changing any legislation with regard to local and even national elections.
How about that they are only held on warm, sunny evenings? I was out and about on election night around Wrose and I have never seen as many people, milling around, chatting and being neighbourly! It almost compared with carnival day!
It has been a pleasure to witness this feelgood factor that emits from people dutifully walking to the local polling station at the community centre (hopefully whoever is elected will prioritise funding for a long overdue new one) and the combination of a warm, balmy evening.
I will be shocked if a record turnout is not achieved in my quiet neck of the woods, hence the request that the Government pre-orders fine weather for future elections.
