SIR – Re Odsal sports village. I was not surprised to see the T&A headline re the above on March 23 in these difficult economic times.
However, I feel there is an option “F” which would be the most economical in these straightened times, namely move to Valley Parade.
We have a modern, under-utilised facility with all the off-field needs. Perhaps a few million pounds may be needed to lengthen the pitch by removing a few seats on each end without unduly affecting the capacity, at the same time improving the playing surface to accommodate both sports.
A further option to consider as part of this idea would be the provision of a park-and-ride bus service to and from Valley Parade to reduce traffic congestion.
