You suggest caution and that DNA is not foolproof. Well, one in 80 million is foolproof enough for me!

What if a child like Madeleine McCann who is still missing came up on the radar in the future?

Anything, any little thing at all that will help is not a lot to ask from the public. From my point of view, you may be over-reacting a little.

As far as compulsory, it would not worry me at all. That would be for the people of our great country to debate and then vote on.
