SIR – Don’t you think there is enough traffic in and around Grange School without the closure of Haycliffe Lane?
In a public meeting in January we expressed objections to this closure, as it would be cutting of a route from Great Horton Road and on to St Enoch’s Road, making more congestion. Traffic would also build up from Great Horton Road on to Southfield Lane.
In this meeting and from your reports, it seems that when a plan is drawn up for a school, anybody in the way gets pushed aside.
The Council said they would listen, but they have not heard a word of, or even cared about, our opinion. They haven’t even kept us up-to-date with any developments like they promised.
Do they think that by putting a small piece in a planning permission file (T&A, March 18), we wouldn’t notice?
