SIR – In the T&A (March 16) Maureen Rutter, of Macmillan Cancer Support, said that hundreds of thousands of pounds of disability benefits were going unclaimed in Bradford by terminally-ill cancer patients.
Bradford Cancer Support is an independent local charity, working to support cancer patients, their carers and those bereaved through cancer, throughout Bradford Metropolitan District for more than 20 years.
Among our services, our team of six experienced welfare rights workers help cancer patients to access all the benefits to which they are entitled, from the point of diagnosis onwards. We consistently raise more than £3 million every year in benefits and grants for people in Bradford and Airedale. Cancer patients and their families can access this and all our services by contacting Bradford Cancer Support on (01274) 776688 or by e-mail to support@bradfordcancersupport.org.uk.
