SIR – Re the report (T&A, February 24) about the CSA’s flawed IT system – despite the £107 million upgrade.

In 2006, 19,000 cases were dealt with manually, going up to 75,000 last September. Surely the IT system is not good enough and cannot do the job?

And it cannot be done manually by the amount of cases going up. Only last year Chris Marriott, of Windhill, was being ripped off by the CSA, only for them to say, “Oh yes, we got it wrong”.

The so-called Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission was meant to sort the whole mess out when it took over from the CSA.

What did we get? Just a bigger shambles.
