SIR – In response to the letter “Bridge’s not the answer” (T&A, February 27), when I wrote my letter suggesting a glass dome above Saltaire roundabout, I kept the article short, hoping it would send someone’s imagination off at a tangent. So I’ll expand little bit more.
The dome above the roundabout would be bigger than the roundabout and there would be a shopping area within the dome above.
Access would be by escalator. The pub could be compulsory purchased and maybe a couple of shops, too.
Councillor John Pennington was on the mark regarding Ring of Bells traffic flow. There was no intention of him leaving the old and disabled people from out of the equation.
