SIR – It’s hard to believe that the Yorkshire Ripper is still able to attract the news again.
If Dr Kevin Murray, a consultant psychiatrist at Broadmoor, believes that it is safe to release Peter Sutcliffe, he should let him be a lodger at home with his family.
For over 30 years, Sutcliffe’s deathly shadow has hung over the families of his victims, when he should just simply have been hanged, and all memory of him put 6ft under!
