SIR – What good is a new station at Low Moor to the people of Wyke? Do the Council think they will park and ride to get in to the city? Or course they won’t – they’ll stay in their cars.

The Airedale line has five stations between Bradford and Keighley. It’s the same distance from Bradford to Halifax, but not one station. Why?

Is there nothing beyond Wyke? Is there no-one living there? It would seem so, as far as Network Rail are concerned.

If they want to make money, Network Rail should build stations at Low Moor, Wyke and Hipperholme – giving the people out there a better chance of catching a train, The buses aren’t right either. There are many who have a long walk to a bus stop. If the Council want to take more cars off the roads, then get the public transport sorted.
