Sir – With regards to my past letters and replies concerning who should appear in the Bradford panto, I have an idea.
What about these comedians who think that spending £24 million on a city centre park is a good idea – it’s got to be the best joke I’ve heard in ages.
Just when Bradford needs more, better shops, bigger and better clubs/bars and more and affordable parking, it gets an oversized pond (sorry mirror pool). Now I hear that the “land that time forgot”, also known as the Broadway centre, is to possibly get a makeover of some grass seeds and a bench. Wow!
Is it any wonder why Leeds and other nearby towns are packed with shoppers and clubbers, if they think this park will bring people back to Bradford’s city centre, then they really are comedians.
