SIR – Again it is reported (T&A, February 15) that three cars have been destroyed by arson. This is a very common offence these days, and country-wide there must be hundreds of cars burned out on a daily basis.
I can remember a time when this would have been seen as a very serious offence, but sadly those days are long gone.
I wonder if anyone has been prosecuted for this type off offence in recent years?
