SIR – It is good to see that Bradford Council is at last showing interest in controlling indiscriminate car parking.
Besides taking action against drivers who put their vehicles on pavements, it would be nice to see abandoned vehicles removed from the highway.
A car was left opposite my home five weeks ago on a road used by four bus routes. The police and a local councillor know all about it, but it is still there. The problem seems to be who pays for the cost of removal.
