SIR – Congratulations to Jim Greenhalf for his superb article about Dennis Locorriere (pictured), the voice of Dr Hook.
Until three years ago, I had never heard of Dennis, then he appeared at the Kings Hall in Ilkely and I went along, as it is a local venue.
I have to say that it was the most enjoyable show I have ever seen and, believe me, I have seen some.
For two hours, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. He is a superb singer and musician/writer and I have since purchased all his CDS and videos.
I honestly think that he should be appearing at the Alhambra and not St George’s Hall, but I do hope that my letter may help to persuade people to book for his show on February 19.
