SIR – I am wondering if anyone can shed any light on why we have so many power cuts in Frizinghall.
On Friday, January 29, the electricity went off for an hour-and-a-half and, two days before, it was off for an unknown amount of time in the middle of the night.
Around three weeks ago, it was off for six hours on Saturday afternoon and evening, forcing my family and I to eat out at considerable expense.
According to an electrician, my neighbour’s freezer broke down as a result of this, costing her money to get it fixed and a freezer full of food was wasted.
Neighbours and I estimate the electricity has gone off more than 20 times in the past 12 months, but no-one has bothered to contact us to say why it has gone off, how long it will be off for or even to give us an apology.
My wife has a business in this area, which has suffered as a result of these constant power cuts.
