SIR – I was absolutely disgusted and very disappointed when I read Malcolm Chapman’s letter in Tuesday’s T&A.
A great many people have put their heart and soul into the making of Bingley. It is now all coming together and is a lovely town in which to work and shop (I’ve done nearly all my Christmas shopping in Bingley). The town is mostly made up of interesting, independent shops and market stalls.
I have just moved my business into Queen’s Court and love it here. There’s such a lovely atmosphere and we all help one another. We were all so annoyed when Mr Chapman called the courtyard ‘a joke’.
It’s hard sometimes to decide what shoppers want from a town, but we’re doing our best!
Please don’t make it a Tescotown.
