SIR – I totally agree with Mark Nicholson’s letter (T&A, December 7).
What is the use of Bradford Council asking it’s electorate’s views on anything when they pay scant regard to the response?
During the Gulf War enquiry, when Sir Jeremy Greenstock was asked about the legality of the Iraq invasion, he replied that, in his opinion, the legitimacy was questionable as democracy itself was questionable, as the decision was against the vast majority of the public.
Surely the same principal could apply regarding the whole Odeon saga? The outcome of which, in my opinion, was rubber-stamped right from the onset.
