SIR - I am appalled by the number of people who park randomly around the city on double yellow lines with their hazard lights on.
There should be more traffic police around the city cracking down on these lazy drivers. It clearly states in the Highway Code that you are not to park on double yellow lines.
But it's not just on double yellows that I have seen it. I have seen people drive on to pavements and put their hazard lights on too. This is appalling and dangerous to pedestrians.
Why is it that some poor soul drives three miles per hour over the limit and gets three points, when there are lots of people who go out of their way to break the Highway Code and get away with it?
Perhaps the police need to turn their attention to this rising problem as well as drivers who break the limit.
