SIR - As a life long non-smoker, I am one of Mr and Mrs Kelly's "sympathisers" (T&A, January 28) who think that the smoking ban is unfair and that a compromise is needed.
I think this is especially true in hospitals.
People in hospitals already have to pay for their TVs so why not a state-of-the- art pay-as-you-go smoking room?
I shudder to think how the mental hospitals are coping.
Oh, and by the way, I notice that there are still a lot of tab ends outside the main entrance to the BRI.
