SIR - Germany has started sending teenage thugs to the Russian province of Sedelnikovo, where they have to break through two feet of ice each day just to get a drink of water.
There are no TVs, playstations or pool tables and if they want to keep warm they have to chop wood for the fire.
As for food, they are given a monotonous diet of salted fish, belly pork and beans. If they don't like it - tough.
German authorities are saving a fortune for they reckon it only costs them £113-a-day for each prisoner.
Why don't we jump on the bandwagon and send our criminals there, along with the do-gooders to look after them? Sounds good to me.
