SIR - I would like to say a big thank you to my caring family, the many cousins and friends of more than 50 and 60 years who came to my 90th birthday party.
The thank you is to everyone who sent the beautiful cards in the hope they read the T&A as I have done for more than 70 years.
My daughter-in-law Margaret has worked at Harbourne Rescue Centre for more than 30 years and will retire this coming February, so I choose to ask for donations to the residents' fund in lieu of gifts or flowers.
My grateful thanks to all who helped to raise £384 which will be made up to a total of £400.
My thanks to friends of Grattan Friendship Club for their help in adding to this amount.
