SIR - I don't suppose that I will be included in the consultation programme regarding Rhodesway School, but this is my two pennorth.

If after some years of instability it is in a period of stability then it should remain under Council control.

The success of Dixon's Academy is a result of (a) being set up from scratch some years ago and (b) being able to cream bright pupils from other schools.

The last statement is true whatever any of Dixon's principals say. I was a governor of a middle school affected by it.

I am also wondering if any bookmakers are giving odds on the outcome of the consultation. My opinion is that the odds will be too short.
