SIR - I am writing to let you know what a super service is offered by the fire service in relation to the safety checks on smoke alarms.
I rang on a Tuesday and they came out from Odsal the next day and replaced the old ones (which were in the wrong place) and quickly and efficiently put new ones in the correct place.
They were very polite, even removing their shoes on entry, and I would like other readers to know that this is a free service available to anyone who would like to call on 0800 587 4536.
Service with a smile - unusual in this day and age. Once again, thanks for the service.
