SIR - The other afternoon, having purchased two items of a fairly heavy kind at T J Hughes in Bradford and finding the staff reluctant to help us carry them to the car (my Husband being disabled and both of us elderly) we were delighted when a young couple in the lift offered to help us.
The young man carried the heaviest item all the way out of the store to the multi-storey car park and up to the car.
They went out of their way to help us. They are unknown to us and we would like to thank them publicly for their kindness.
