SIR - How dare people think it would be fine to change the name of any street in Bradford just because someone has done something either good or out of the ordinary?
David Rhodes (T&A, December 17) was 100 per cent correct - Green Lane has a proud history, not only in Bradford but worldwide in the Educational /Social spheres.
It was a trendsetter and innovator in days when innovation was the vogue, so it deserves to be remembered in that light.
Dr Urmila Gupta was presumably paid for being a GP and I think the respect of her peers and the best wishes of her friends and patients should be sufficient.
The things people ask for, and indeed demand, on occasion, is truly jaw-dropping.
