SIR - Since late summer, the country has been swept with Christmas fever and you can barely turn around without tripping over festive campaigns.
Without putting a dampener on festivities but to cater for those of you trying to avoid thinking about Christmas until the last minute, the British Heart Foundation has come up with something different.
We are now looking for Hearty Fundraisers to get involved with our 2008 Valentine's Appeal - which aims to raise £1m for Heart Nurses across the UK.
The BHF encourages enthusiastic individuals, groups or businesses to organise their own fundraising, e.g. raffles, dress-down days, walks, dinner dances etc. Valentines volunteers are needed to help promote and market the campaign to various people.
Volunteering with the BHF is great fun and without volunteers we would not be able to raise vital funds to invest in our groundbreaking research into heart disease, provide vital care and support for heart patients or help people keep their hearts healthy.
