SIR - I don't normally put pen to paper for publication, but having learned that pensioners over 80 are having their supplement increased from 25p to 26p per week has made me see red.
How can the politicians and civil servants (on good index-linked pensions) stoop so low? How on earth can they justify this paltry increase?
I implore all right-thinking people to badger the politicians until worthwhile increases in all state pensions are made.
Incidentally, my wife and I would not benefit in any way as pensions are frozen' at the level when one emigrates, which for us was in May, 2005.
Hoping that this might also be changed but we're not holding our breath.
