SIR - Some time ago the French and Dutch were given a referendum on the then-called Constitution, which they both rejected.
The Danes are very shortly to have a referendum on changing their currency from kroner to euros.
The Irish Republic citizens are to have a referendum on the now-called Treaty, and I understand they also have the rights to further referendums on anything which concerns their country and its wellbeing and rights.
So, why aren't we having one?
I don't think Mr Brown has the right to refuse us one.
