SIR - I read the reaction of Bingley Civic Trust to the latest proposal for the development of Myrtle Walk with considerable dismay.
It would appear that unless we settle for the half-baked plans by Halladale we must be resigned to more years of inconclusive wrangling.
Surely the specification given to any developer must include the following: 1. More quality retail outlets.
2. Protection from the weather.
3. Out-of-hours security.
I have used the centre of Bingley for several decades and I hope that its future does not fall victim to years of unimaginative and fruitless debate.
