SIR - I can assure your correspondent Allen Dean (T&A, December 4) that Metro considered Bradford as a location for this year's trials of Boxing Day bus services.
However, research showed that not enough businesses are planning on opening to generate significant passenger numbers.
Metro hopes the trial will be successful and that in future years, when the city centre redevelopment is complete, Boxing Day bus services will become established in Bradford and across West Yorkshire.
