SIR - Regarding the letter headed "Let down by buses" (T&A, December 4), there will be one bus service in Bradford on Boxing Day - the X6 Huddersfield-Bradford-Leeds service.
As Mr Dean says, the trial bus services on Boxing Day are for Huddersfield and Leeds so presumably the X6 is only included in the trial because it connects those two places.
Once again, Bradford is overlooked and perhaps Metro could advise why this is so.
Bradford & District Older People's Alliance has been campaigning for some time for a "free citybus" around the city centre.
Leeds has had such a service for almost two years and similar services are now operating in Huddersfield and in Wakefield. Bradford Council has still to decide whether our city is to have such a service.
The BOPA Transport Group is holding a meeting about this at 11am today at the Impressions Gallery, Centenary Square (opposite City Hall). Readers are invited to come along to look at our proposed route and to tell us what they think.
