IT’S THE final episode of Autumnwatch tonight.
How I will miss it. Autumnwatch is one of the few things that really lifts your spirits and puts Covid 19 and all that goes with it to the very back of your mind.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing badgers, squirrels, seals, foxes and dormice going about their business. I admit I wasn’t too keen on the two-inch wide Great Fox spider which liquifies the internal organs of its prey with venom, but so long as he doesn’t find his way on to my pillow in the middle of the night, I suppose I can tolerate him.
These seasonal ‘watch’ programmes are wonderful and serve to remind us that nature is all around us to be enjoyed and appreciated, so we should make the most of it.
