SIR - On reading through the court files, often it brings a smile to my face.
In the files (T&A, November 28) there's a young chappie been fined £20 for driving without a licence, £40 for court costs and £15 compensation.
Some of these magistrates appear to be in the wrong job, they could make a much better living touring the clubs, etc, doing conjuring tricks.
This chappie had his licence endorsed - how can one endorse a licence that doesn't exist? That's some trick!
No licence also means no insurance, etc. It's not a bad bargain when one can drive about for £75.
The average young driver will cough up around £1,000 to get him or herself driving legally.
