SIR - I hope my MP, Terry Rooney, read the letter by Gordon Dean (T&A, August 1) regarding the two fine Yorkshire cricketers, Adil Rashid and Ajmal Shahzad.
They are the products of an excellent system whereby youngsters from school boy level upwards can progress into the county first XI.
I am still waiting for Mr Rooney to go to Headingley and be shown first hand the steps Yorkshire are taking to assist young cricketers of all ethnic backgrounds after he falsely accused the club of being institutionally racist.
