SIR - Today I had cause to contact Bradford Council Cleansing Department to voice a concern.
It was fairly clear from the response to my call that the information systems in use indicated awareness that I had expressed a concern in the past.
Indeed I have and firmly believe our council should not be expected to respond to our needs and concerns if they are not made aware of them.
On this occasion, following the regular weekly refuse collection, I discovered a diesel spillage on the road.
Within one hour of this concern being reported, the problem was investigated and, I might add, satisfactorily resolved.
Congratulations to our council on a speedy response. Bradfordians may be quick to criticise but this Bradfordian is also quick to praise where praise is due.
