SIR - What a fantastic weekend the veterans weekend turned out to be.
Bradford Metropolitan Council is to be congratulated along with its members who were involved. In spite of the unreliable weather every event went off superbly.
The bands and the entertainers were first class. The Bradford Pals Memorial Service was very moving in its sincerity.
A special mention to the Army Catering Unit, pictured, for their menu and excellence of the food and presentation far in excess of that provided that I remember during my two years in the 1950s. Well done to them!
Hoping it will not be too long before the event is repeated.
