SIR - Gordon Brown merrily implies that his predecessor had got things wrong and he was going to put them right.
He could and should have had more influence on Blair to do the right things and cannot shirk the blame for mistakes over the past decade.
One thing he must do is to give us the promised referendum on the constitution treaty! I understand even Jacques Delors feels the French should have one as does the Dutch Socialist leader.
What has he to be afraid of, after all?
