SIR - Saturday last, my wife and I experienced seeing people walking around the town centre with a smile on their face and hearing people laugh while spending their money in well presented shops on quality goods.
The complete shopping area and centres were clean and the walk ways clear of chewing gum.
May I suggest that Bradford city centre managers take a bus ride into Huddersfield and enquire how they arrange top name shops to invest in their town centre and how the streets are kept in such lovely condition?
Now that senior citizens have free transport to the towns around Bradford, I feel sure that many will be taking journeys that give a far more rewarding experience than travelling to the run-down charity shops of Bradford centre.
Wake up Bradford. Time is running out fast.
