SIR - Regarding the recent stories about macular degeneration, or wet eye, and the statement by the NHS, that they will not fund treatment for this condition, which can lead to blindness, surely the cheapest way is to fund the treatment.
Have we got out priorities right?
We can spend £9 billion (plus) on the Olympic Games, but not treatment for stopping people going blind.
I have macular degeneration and have had to pay privately for treatment.
I am going to write to my MP and hope to get this matter raised in the Commons.
