SIR - It is all very well for David Chapman to say it should be explained by the Government why we should sign up the next part of the assimilation of the EU (Letters, May 29).
His namesake and leader should be telling us loud and clear why we should not be leaving it to UKIP to do all the explaining.
David Cameron has told Mr Chapman and all his party to stop banging on about Europe, knowing full well that lame-duck Blair, obviously supported by smug Brown, will be kowtowing even more to Merkel and the rest.
I, along with others, have sent a post card to the great pretender Brown, insisting he send no more cheques to Brussels and to vote against the extra funding Blair agreed to and which is costing us the tax and MP pension payers £115million per day NET of any refunds.
Mr Chapman, like our local MP, needs to keep on banging and banging until we have rid ourselves of the albatross around our necks. I just wish Blair wouldn't bother coming back from Libya, then Brown would get it in the neck by the electorate much sooner.
Philip Bird (secretary, Bradford and district branch of UKIP), Nab Wood Terrace, Shipley
