SIR - I have with much patience and uneasy anticipation awaited the result of the "Have your Say on a Park at the Heart" campaign and the Lottery bid launched in February; yet another sham and biased consultation process instigated by the spin doctors of Bradford Centre Regeneration focused on what would attract you to it, and what would you like to see therein rather than "Do you really want it".
The T&A revealed on May 17 that 6,708 people were in support of it, and Councillor Andrew Mallinson stated: "We are delighted with the overwhelming backing it had received."
To justify this statement the figure was adjusted to 17,000 within a few days, then a television personality is hired on the day of the Royal visit to solicit further support, just to enhance the final count to 27,000; approximately six per cent of the population.
What length will they pursue to justify their secret agenda for the city?
