SIR - While the threat of out-of-town shopping is still very much alive at the White Rose Centre in Leeds, Bradford faces more competition, this time much closer to home.
Forster Square Retail Park is increasingly becoming home to shops that already have a presence a short distance away in the heart of the city.
Burton, Dorothy Perkins and Topshop have concessions within Outfit, then you have Clarks, Argos, Boots, JJB and JD Sports and even a Costa Coffee and Subway, plus Bradford's only Next store is located here.
It is becoming almost a complete shopping trip in itself.
However, there are at least three improvements that could be made to encourage more trips between the two centres: increase the two-hour free parking to four hours; pull up signposts; and convert the railway arches in St Blaise Square into shop and café units, helping create more activity in the area.
