SIR - I would like to alert your readers to a fantastic opportunity which will benefit one of my favourite charities, the National Society for Epilepsy (NSE).
For many years I lived with epilepsy, but now thanks to pioneering surgery I am seizure-free and in late June I'm looking forward to achieving a lifelong ambition when I take part in the finals of the Miss England competition.
To raise money for its research, which made possible treatment such as mine, NSE is raffling five original discs, two Queen, two Bee Gees and one from the Beach Boys, signed by the original artists.
Tickets cost just £1 and are available by calling the NSE fundraising team on 01494 601414 or at the following events: Rock on the Racecourse (Fakenham June 1), Music on the Meadows (Beverley Race Course June 16, Ripley Castle July 14, Brantingham Park, Hull August 4 and Sussex Farm Hunstanton August 14). Further details are available on the NSE web site www.epilepsynse.org.uk.
