SIR - Am I alone in deploring the current state of the Connaught Rooms?

Despite being sand blasted a few years ago it has suffered a further scouring and the addition of two tacky fibreglass lions flanking the entrance.

The lions can be removed but the damage from sandblasting is irreparable. It is like taking a pan scrub and turps to an old master.

This is a listed building which has already suffered the asset-stripping of the original Masonic windows.

This sadly, is par for the course in Bradford, whose planners evidently regard this kind of thing acceptable.
