SIR - I was disappointed to read Jenny Sampson was being attacked for her decision not to home cats in certain areas.
Jenny has a wealth of knowledge about re-homing animals in Bradford and if, in her judgement, she feels it is unsafe to put cats in certain areas I feel it is her decision to make.
Could you imagine the headlines if she had re-homed an animal to an area knowing there were reports of problems and the animal was injured or killed?
People would call her irresponsible and would then be well within their rights to question her judgement.
Jenny does what she feels is best for the cats and yes sometimes perhaps people may feel offended by her decisions, but we have to accept that they are done for genuine reasons, not to make a statement about people or areas.
Instead of attacking Jenny, people should try doing something about the individuals who cause cruelty to animals - one way is to report cruelty to the RSPCA.
Another positive approach people could take is to join with the long-running campaign of making sure cats and dogs are neutered, thus reducing the number of unwanted animals.
