SIR - It does not matter a hoot what political party Jenny Sampson is attached to when considering her stance on cat adoption, and for the T&A editorial to insinuate that it does strike sat the heart of democracy. This woman obviously devotes many hours to looking after cats that have been abandoned or abused in some way, and the villains will no doubt have political affiliations across the board.
She apparently gets no grants, or any assistance from the Council and is no doubt infuriated at the lack of punitive action taken against those who indulge in cruelty to animals.
I haven't enough knowledge about the areas she is boycotting when it comes to adoption, but I do know that there must be good reason.
Unfortunately, the moronic minority spoil things for the rest of the community, and the decent people suffer.
I could say that the poor guy refused a cat is in the same bracket as me who resents having to drive over speed humps when I consider myself a save driver with an unblemished record.
I say thank goodness for people like Jenny Sampson.

- EDITOR'S NOTE: As our report stated, Ms Sampson denigrated all the residents of several Bradford districts including Ravenscliffe, for which she stood for election for the BNP. We suggest her true feelings about local people were not made clear in her election literature, which makes our comment particularly relevant.
