SIR - I should like to say a very big thank you to everyone who signed my petition against a ten-house development on land which at present houses Oak Bank Egg Farm.
This has been the fourth application to build there, hopefully it will be the last.
By signing this petition and writing letters of protest against yet more housebuilding in an already overcrowded Wrose, the residents have let their views be known.
I should also like to say a special thank you to the ward councillor, Philip Thornton, Vanda Greenwood and Tony Miller for their support, also the parish council which has been 100 per cent against the development.
Also very active against this plan were Nigel Peck and Lindsey Manley and Susan Hinchcliffe.
The staff in the local Co-op were very helpful in assisting me to collect almost 300 names for my petition, so I would say to the people of Wrose - well done.
Finally thanks to the T&A for their articles and photographs during this long campaign.
John Parry, Wrose Grove, Shipley
